It’s GREAT to be back! Now that the Easter season over I can now start concentrating on some of the things that has been been neglected.
Well, I have to first start off by saying I’m sorry for not keeping up with the blog, when I decided on doing this I didn’t realize the amount of time it took and actually how much little extra time I had, but whatever!
I LOVE interacting with you guys, so I will keep doing it!

Hey Guys, Happy, well Tuesday!

This Thursday is the day you can score those extra brownie points or make up for anything done wrong. It’s Valentine’s Day! Did you get your chocolates and stuff from the store yet? Hmm… I hope so because we are selling out real fast, the biggest thing for us are those long stem chocolate covered strawberries, OMG!!! My favorite are the dark chocolate dipped ones (the bitterness of the dark chocolate mixing with the sweetness of the strawberry) wow unreal!

So yeah, Valentine’s aside, I have been really busy moulding those chocolate bunnies and novelties, I will be setting up the easter display in the backroom on the 23rd of February, thats 1 month before easter.

So I don’t know if I told this and TOTALLY off the subject, I was nominated to be on the board of directors of the Massapequa Historical Society and I was sworn in a few weeks ago. I went to my first board meeting and it seems like something I can get into, I have alot of ideas and they seem to like them and we have alot of fun things coming up, like the Apple Festival, Antique show, Strawberry Festival stuff like that so if you are a Massapequa resident and you dont belong to the society you can become a member for only $20 a year. Now that I am involved I will be spicing things up a bit, I will keep you up to date on the events and such so you can come visit me and participate in Massapequa History.

Well thats it for this week, don’t give up on me Tom, I am crazy at the store and it does get overwhelming at times, after a 15 hour day it’s hard to blog. You know you guys can come in and say hi too! If I’m moulding come and watch me and chill out a bit. I don’t care…

So don’t forget to get your strawberries and chocolates, you still have time

HI BLOG BUDDIES, Happy MONDAY!

When I first re-opened the doors on Saturday December 4, 1993, I have been blessed with a VERY successful/busy business. I love what I do because I do what I love, I have alot of good times and have grown REALLY close to my customers/friends. My stress level is very low because having been there so long I pretty much have a routine. Well people that routine just had a monkey wrench thrown in it, you see this time every year we start the easter moulding process, which is crazy enough but this particular year I basically have 3 holidays on top of one another. Valentines Day is an INSANE chocolate holiday for us, we fill our own hearts with our own homemade chocolate, mould crazy/fun/different types of things.

The most popular thing we have to offer for Valentines Day is fresh long stem strawberries dipped in our homemade chocolate. Let me tell you people, there is nothing better tasting than that! What I’m trying to get at is plainly this…

Valentine’s Day is 2/14, St. Pat’s Day is 3/17 (which we do a phenomenal Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner, my mom makes her famous Irish soda bread OMG! Soooooo good!) and last but not least Easter is 3/23. HELLO!!!! Three of my most busy holidays are now smushed within a month… CRAZY!!! For the first time in the longest time I am stressing, BIG TIME!!

I had to let you in on this partly because, well you are all important to me, and I won’t be getting to spend that quality time we usually spend together, basically I will be in the back moulding and not so much in the restaurant. I will be doing the blogs (as promised, so you will see how everything is going)

Today’s VIDY BLOG pretty much discusses what I just typed, but I had to get it out.

Hey Blog Buddies (or whoever is left watching this)

Happy New Year 2008 and Happy Wednesday!!

It’s been some time now since I last blogged and the reason for that is… no reason, I was just busy/lazy & not motivated.
I said to my self that my new years resolution is to blog more and to stick with it. Now, I’m not going to be blogging everyday, it’s going to be a little different.

I will be posting a blog on every MONDAY, yup once a week, this way I can be consistant and not make such crazy goals that I won’t commit too. Sometimes if I am in the mood I will be posting random blogs from time to time but you all can definetly depend on the MONDAY ones!
